To any society, the police are a symbol of security, a pillar of protection, a place of refuge and hope when many things are falling apart. Often, when the police system is struggling, society may also struggle with instabilities that negatively influence their security and social participation. It is, therefore, key to have a police force that is well equipped with awareness on soft and hard skills to steer the society into a place of calm, hope, reassurance of protection and inclusive service.
